“World-class performances and a school that truly nurtures young dancers.”
Central Florida's professional ballet company
Orlando Ballet is Central Florida's only professional ballet company, presenting a full season at the Dr. Phillips Center's Steinmetz Hall with productions such as The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland and a Director's Collection of contemporary work. The company's home at Loch Haven Park doubles as the base for the Orlando Ballet School, which trains dancers from their earliest classes through the Academy, Preparatory Training Center, and the Trainee and OBII second-company programs. Summer intensives serve a range of skill levels.
Beyond conservatory ballet, the organization keeps a broad community footprint. Adults can take Fitness Thru Dance classes spanning ballet, modern, jazz and tap, plus Intro to Ballet and gentler movement offerings, while youth programs, camps, masterclasses and outreach initiatives (First STEPS, STEPS, REACH and RISE) extend training across the region. The blend of a working professional company and a full training school makes it the anchor institution for classical and contemporary dance in the Orlando metro.
