“They give everybody the opportunity to participate. You are always included and they make sure you have your own special job.”
Inclusive, accessible, diverse theatre for kids
Young Star Musical Theatre is a youth-focused musical-theatre company in Winter Garden built around full-scale theatrical productions for students in grades K through 12. Casts are organized into divisions from Minis through Elementary, Middle School, and High School, so performers grow within age-appropriate shows that combine singing, dancing, and acting. The company describes itself as inclusive, accessible, and diverse, and families consistently praise how every child is given a role and a special job both on and off the stage.
Beyond its production seasons, Young Star runs age-specific summer camps grouped for grades 1-2, 3-6, and 7-12, plus a Directors in Training internship for older students stepping into leadership. Its stated aim is to introduce the performing arts to children through a high-quality experience that is both educational and fun. For Winter Garden and west Orlando families who want their kids on an actual musical-theatre stage rather than in a recital lineup, Young Star is a purpose-built, community-minded choice.
