Aerial arts led by a circus artist
Joyce Lemos Aerial Arts & Dance Academy in Winter Park is one of the few studios in the region that fuses true circus-caliber aerial work with a traditional dance curriculum. Its aerial side covers silks, aerial hoop (lyra), static trapeze, and flying pole, while the dance side offers ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theater — all under one roof and available in both group and private formats. Founder Joyce Lemos is described as a former international circus artist, which lends the program unusual depth, and safety is emphasized as the top instructional priority. The studio holds a strong 4.8 rating across 33 reviews.
The academy serves all ages and skill levels, including a dedicated 'Minis' program for children ages 6 to 10, making it a natural fit for families as well as adults. Students work toward the academy's annual 'Around the World Showcase,' giving performers of every level a real stage to build toward. New students can begin with a $20 first trial class before committing to enrollment, a low-risk way to sample a rare aerial-plus-dance combination in the north Orlando area.
