“The whole team makes you feel like family from day one. Zero judgment, tons of fun, and I've learned more than I ever expected.”
18+ dances in a joyful community
The Fred Astaire studio on Via Dellagio Way puts a full-service ballroom program right in the heart of Dr. Phillips, and it holds a perfect 5.0 across more than 130 reviews. Its curriculum covers 18-plus partnership dances — waltz, foxtrot, quickstep, and tango on the smooth side, plus cha-cha, rumba, samba, mambo, salsa, and specialty styles like Argentine tango, bolero, and West Coast swing. Learning happens through private instruction, group lessons, and casual practice parties that let students dance socially in a low-stakes setting.
The studio emphasizes a warm, non-judgmental "FADS Community" atmosphere, which reviews consistently echo. Wedding couples are a major focus, with programs ranging from a simple first dance to routines for the whole wedding party. For dancers who catch the bug, Fred Astaire's national network opens a clear ladder into Pro/Am competitions at regional through international levels. It suits Dr. Phillips and Windermere adults who want both social polish and a serious competitive option.
