“Ana is a beautiful teacher and the classes feel healing as much as fun. I look forward to every session.”
Healing through gifted movements
Bellywood Studios, tucked into a plaza off Orangewood Boulevard near the International Drive area, is a dedicated belly dance studio led by owner Ana and organized around the tagline 'Healing Through Gifted Movements.' That framing — movement as expression and wellness, not just performance — sets the tone for a welcoming space that has earned a 4.7 rating across 34 reviews. Its central, tourist-adjacent location also makes it one of the closest niche-style studios to the south Orlando resort corridor.
Instruction is delivered through structured, multi-week courses; a recent four-week Saturday session ran at $80 for non-members and $75 for members, giving newcomers a clear, committed way to learn the fundamentals of belly dance. Beyond classes, the studio operates as a small hub for the local Middle Eastern dance scene: it offers professional dancer-hire services for events and opens its space for private rentals, and it has hosted performances and workshops. For anyone in Orlando curious about belly dance specifically — a style rarely taught at general dance schools — Bellywood is the area's standout specialist option.
